From Segovia to Pedraza

This one-day trip reveals the local culture, history and great landscapes. Also, not far from Segovia you will find the splendid baroque style palace where several former kings of Spain are buried. You will also see gardens resembling those of Versailles because both were designed by the French landscape architect André le Nôtre. The placement of the town of La Granja of San Ildefonso at the feet of the tallest mountain of the Sierra de Guadarrama is amazing. Cycling along the highest mountains of the Sierra will lead you to the fantastic Romanic 13^th century church of Sotosalbos.  Shortly after, you will reach the middle-age town of Pedraza with an awesome castle and a beautiful Plaza Mayor (main square). Once there, you will have lunch in a restaurant specialized in delicious typical dishes. This route is also chosen by many as a combination of visits to Madrid or Segovia.
