From Chinchón to Alcalá de Henares

In this tour, while riding across typical villages and small towns, you will discover two important touristic landmarks nearby Madrid.
You’ ll be transferred from your hotel in Madrid to Chinchón. Once in Chinchón, you’ll start pedalling on your bicicle to visit iconic places like the typically Castillian porticoed Plaza Mayor (main square) from the 15th century and a ruined castle on a hill from the same century.
The trip goes on across field crops and along the fertile plain of Tajuña river leading to old towns where convents, monasteries and the Casa de Alba’s pantheon (from one of the most noble families in Spain) are.
You will bike across olive trees fields and vineyards until reaching Alcalá de Henares where the 1499 renowned University of Alcalá is. Tour biking throughout the City-University of Alcalá is with no doubt the best way to discover the city´s rich cultural legacy. It is also the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes, the greatest Spanish literary figure who wrote the famous book “Don Quixote de la Mancha”. Alcalá de Henares is considered a UNESCO world heritage site.
